Many know Tim for his role as co-host of the popular six-time Emmy-nominated Project Runway, a reality-based fashion design incubator, the eighth season of which broke all previous seasons’ ratings records. His remarkable career includes 24 years at Parsons School of Design, two books, host of “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style,” and an appearance in the Marvel Comic Models Inc. Tim and Tim both serve up a fun version of Tim’s List.

Steven Petrow joins Tim and John to talk about his new book, Steven Petrow’s Complete Gay & Lesbian Manners. As gay people, we don’t set the table any differently than straight people. But when it comes to coming out, or our commitment ceremonies, our rites and rituals often have a decidedly different bent. His book is a comprehensive “womb-to-tomb” guide for the modern LGBT man, woman, or couple.
Kurt Beecher Dammeier’s passion for flavorful foods and fresh ingredients began at a young age. In 2003, he founded Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, which quickly established itself as a leader in the artisan cheese industry. Most recently, Beecher’s 4-year aged Flagship cheese won 1st place at the American Cheese Society Competition in Seattle. Tim and John welcome Amy Wigler, Vice President of Marketing for MTV’s Logo to the show. Since joining the network in 2005, Amy has led the integrated marketing efforts for the network. An avid musical theater fan, she began her career in entertainment marketing 14 years ago at Dodger Theatricals, leading the marketing for over 15 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions including numerous Tony Award winning productions such as 42nd Street, Into the Woods, Urinetown and Jersey Boys.
Las Vegas: The Strip and Beyond features Mya Lake Reyes. A resident of Las Vegas since 1970, she is Director of Diversity Marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, and one of the 20 Most Powerful People in the Las Vegas LGBT Community (by QVegas Magazine). This Saturday, Tim and John will be broadcasting from the annual IGLTA (International G/L Travel Association) conference in Fort Lauderdale, FL., and will introduce eight “new” destinations that are putting out the welcome mat for G&L travelers. The format is based on speed dating, and each destination has a set amount of time to make an impression. Tune-in to pick the locale you will want to put on your list the next time you are planning a vacation.
On Saturday, May 21st, Tim and John welcome Tim Gunn to the Focus Group. Many know him from his role on Project Runway, but it’s his successful career in the fashion industry that will be front and center during his visit.

With summer just around the corner, it’s time to add a new twist to a favorite drink. Tim and John welcome Jordan Silbert, founder of Q Tonic. While working at the Downtown Alliance in Manhattan, Jordan was struck by a ginâ€induced flash of inspiration to make a superior tonic water. He spent his nights and weekends mixing up different tonic water recipes in his kitchen for friends. He gave birth to Q Tonic in 2007, delivering it to his first accounts himself in his station wagon. Next up for Jordan? Q Ginger—finally, a superior ginger ale.
